Doom heavy assault rifle

The lava jet on the shoulder allows you to extinguish your enemies in a nice bath of flames. However, since this was a demo with a time limit, I couldn’t really sit down to tinker with changing the keymaps (I don’t even know if you can, anyway). Which was somewhat inconvenient as most people associated it with reloading. For the demo, this has been mapped to the “R” key. One of the other newly introduced weapons was the Flame Belch. For example, the Assault Rifle gains a Precision Bolt mod, giving you powerful sniper fire when aiming down. Some of the other secondary fire was done with the more traditional DOOM weapons, like the Shotgun and Assault Rifle.

Nothing like sending out a missile and timing it just to dismember a charging enemy. This is important for doing things like detonating rockets in flight. But, right clicking on it introduces a secondary fire option. By clicking the left mouse button, you unload regular ammunition.

At the start of the demo, it shows the primary and secondary fire (accessible when obtaining mods) of most of the weapons at your disposal. The tutorial was brief, but it allowed me to try out the new mechanics and new moves. However, I wanted to make sure I could take a crash course in combat before I took the plunge. I don’t normally play any tutorial section just because of my lack of patience.
